#3 Complete Darkness 2019 – Book Review

When scientists finally unraveled the secrets of the dark matter, they stumble on a Complete Darkness, the incarnation of hell, that threatens the existence of humanity.

Book description:

Complete Darkness is a horror science fiction novel with a touch of fantasy that flirts with theology. The book was written by Matt Adcock and was published on October 25th, 2019 by Burton Mayers Books. With a length of 222 pages, this book is relatively easy to read. Complete Darkness is available in kindle and paperback edition as well.

Synopsis:

In this action-packed horror science fiction novel, scientists faze out the mystery about the fabric of dark matter. They discover that dark matter is, in fact, hell itself and that the apocalypse is about to be unleashed upon Earth. It’s going to be up to Cleric20, our protagonist and his loyal droid GiX, to try and save the day.

Praises and critiques:

Complete Darkness was a really good book. From the start to the end you are riveted to the pages. I truly like all the future technologies that Matt describes in his book. Furthermore, I certainly enjoyed reading all the notes that were available for additional explanations of his futuristic world. Complete Darkness somewhat has a vibe of The Fifth Element but rated M. Subsequently, the book’s structure is well presented and completely clear. Finally, the only negative aspect of this wonderful masterpiece is that the book is too short and the complete delight of reading it comes to its inevitable end too soon.

Recommendations:

I most certainly recommend this book to all horror and science fiction fans. It is a new original story with a whole Sci-Fi universe that comes with it. I would say this book is aimed at a more mature audience because of some gory action descriptions.

Rating:

I believe that this book deserves four point five stars on five because it was entertaining, well written, and original.

Rating: 4.5 out of 5.

  8. From the mix of science fiction, horror, and religion you have described in this plot, I can definitely see why you say this didn’t have to end as soon as it did. Perhaps the author is focused on setting this up for a greater story in a ‘sequel’ book. Still, it does sound to be quite a fascinating story.

  11. While I’m not sure this is a book that I would pick up (I’m generally not all that interested in sci-fi books), it does sound like something that my husband would really enjoy. I’m going to have to share this with him. I know that he’s been trying to read more and that means he’s going to have to find some more books to read if he plans on keeping that new routine going!

  12. I’ve never heard of the book Complete Darkness or the author, Matt Adcock, before this. I am a huge fan of finding books I wouldn’t normally read until I find someone who has reviewed it, and this certainly fits into that category. Thanks for helping me find my next book to read! I can see my husband enjoying this book too, as it is more along his genre favorites. After I read it, I’ll pass it to him as well.
